About Natalie

Natalie Kanaby is an author-illustrator, Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, and Developmental Therapist who specializes in early childhood speech and language development.

A graduate of Purdue University and former home daycare provider, she received a WFYI Indiana Childcare Provider of the Year award in 2009, and was a recipient of the 2010 National Childcare Provider of the Year.

Her essay, “Ruminating Tradition” was awarded the Gal’s Guide Anthology 2024 Reader’s Choice Award.
